Prologue

OddBalls are one of the UK’s most beloved underwear brands, withover 300 designs and IP partnerships, including Star Wars, Spongebob Squarepants, and DC’s BatMan.

Despite a hugely talented in-house creative team, they relied on static image ads for performance, having hit a ceiling with paid video & UGC.

Dirty Jack were brought in to build out their TOF video, that reflected both the cheekiness of the brand, while heroing the product.

"After launching the Dirty Jack campaign, we were like "we definitely couldn't have done that internally"
-  Bert Van Eetvelde,
Head of Paid Media, Oddballs

the winning concept

Christmas campaigns are usually nausiatingly wholesome -

and kind of unrelatable.

Cue: Horny british dad who’s had one two many sherries, and is flaunting about his new OddBalls, wishing he was 21 again.

Our ‘Awkward Family’ characters resonated with key OddBalls
demographic (Mums!) resulting in some of their highest
performing assets to date.

"Dirty Jack
changed
what we thought was possible for oddballs!"
"The results were so positive we went from 'Can we really put this on the internet'...
to planning 4 campaigns a year"

- Bert Van Eetvelde
